Apple usually bundles a new set of wallpapers with every new iPhone release and the iPhone 7 is no exception here. To show off the wider color gamut range of the display, the new wallpapers on iPhone 7 look pretty simple with one dominant color.

While the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have not launched yet, the wallpapers from them have been extracted for your existing iPhone. The catch here is that the wallpapers are static in nature, which when combined with their relatively simple look might seem a bit boring. I am sure the new wallpapers will look pretty rad on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus thanks to their wider color gamut displays, but on existing iPhones, they don’t particularly look breathtaking.

Do note that all the wallpapers below are different from the new set of wallpapers that Apple already includes in iOS 10.

All the wallpapers above have a resolution of 1242 x 2209, which means they will scale just fine on your iPhone 6/6s and their Plus siblings. Interestingly, the colors of the wallpaper are very similar to the colorful iMacs G3s that Apple had launched way back in 1998. The iMac G3 was the first PC back in the day to launch without a floppy drive and paved the way for its death.

If you are using your iPhone, simply tap on the image you like and then select the Save Image option by long pressing on it.
