Apple rarely lets “regular folk” view their unfinished work. Leaving betas and alphas available to only registered developers. But with their last mobile operating system, iOS 8.3, the company actually allowed the regular public download the beta version before its official release.

With iOS 9 announced at Apple’s WWDC 2015 event, you can now sign up for Apple’s Beta Software Program to preview and review iOS 9 and OS X 10.11 before its final release in the fall of this year.

How to sign up for the iOS 9 Public Beta

Head over to the Apple Beta Software Program website and use your Apple ID and password to register. If you have already registered for this program in the past, all you need to do is sign in once again.

Once you have signed up or signed in you will be able to learn a little bit more about iOS 9 and OS X 10.11 El Capitan. You will have to wait until sometime in July for the first public beta to be available for download. Apple will send an email to all its Beta Software Program members when a download is ready.
