A brand new version of Fantastical — one of the best calendar apps for the iPhone and iPad — is now available for the Mac. The new version has been built from the ground up for Yosemite and brings with it some major new features as well.

Unlike the previous app which was only a menubar app, Fantastical 2 is a full blown calendar app as well, and comes with an even better natural language parsing engine.

For Yosemite users, Fantastical 2 comes with a Today Widget, and Action and Share extensions. Additionally, it supports Hand-off with iOS and OS X running devices.

Other features of the app include support for reminders, a new mini window mode, light and dark theme, calendar sets to organize multiple calendars and more. Calendar sets will automatically hide or show up when the user enters a particular area.

The app also features a day, week, month and year views to allow you to easily plan and sort your schedule.

As a token of “thanks” to early adopters, Fantastical 2 is available at a launch sale price of $39.99 on the Mac App Store. The regular price of the app will be $49.99. A trial version of the app can be downloaded from Flexibits website.
