PP Jailbreak for Mac

If you have been waiting for a tool to jailbreak your device on iOS 8.1.2 on your Mac then we’ve some news for you.

It looks like some Chinese hackers have released a jailbreak tool called PP Jailbreak for Mac OS X to jailbreak iOS 8 – iOS 8.1.x.

The jailbreak tool seems to be compatible with iOS 8.0 to iOS 8.1.2 and supports the following compatible devices:

  • iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S
  • iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2
  • iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, iPad mini
  • iPod touch 5G

A number of users on reddit have confirmed that it works fine, though we’re yet to get a confirmation that the jailbreak is safe. So we would recommend proceeding with caution.

You can download the PP Jailbreak from our download page. Please remember to uncheck the check box at the bottom, as it seems to install the pirated Chinese App Store. We’re assuming that it is based on the TaiG jailbreak, so you should disable the passcode, the Find My iPhone feature before proceeding.

The TaiG team are also working on a Mac version of their popular jailbreak tool for iOS 8 – 8.1.2.
