DIY iPhone Speakers using Paper towell roll and Plastic Cups

If you want to boost the volume of the music or audio from your iOS device, then here’s a cool do-it-yourself solution created by Twitter user @nnnnnnnn.

All you need is a paper towel roll and two plastic cups.

I haven’t tried it out yet, but Paul Horowitz of OSXDaily gave it a shot, and found that it actually works. In his case, he didn’t have the plastic cups, but he found that cutting a hole in the paper towel roll and placing the iPhone did amplify the audio.

It doesn’t sound any better, but it did make it louder, and as Paul points out, you could make it sound better by adjusting the music equalizer.

So if you don’t want to spend the money in buying an iPhone speaker, and don’t care of its appearance, then this is a handy solution. Give it a shot and let me know how it goes.

Don’t forget to share the photo of your DIY iPhone speaker in the comments below.
