One of the drawbacks of Apple’s Find My Phone service is that, if your iPhone is stolen, the thief can turn off your iOS device to prevent it from being tracked.

Check out Powerguard – a new jailbreak tweak if you want to prevent someone from turning off your iOS device.

After you’ve enabled Powerguard on your iOS device, it will prompt the person trying to turn off your iOS device to enter a security code, which can be set via the Settings app.

Powerguard settings are also password protected to prevent someone from disabling the tweak.

Powerguard is available on Cydia for $0.99. Please note that the jailbreak tweak is not enabled by default. You need to enable it via the Settings app. If you’re prompted to enter a “Message here”, enter the default password, which is password.

We would also recommend you to check iCaughtU Pro ($2.5). Find My iPhone app and iCaughtU Pro combo is a lethal anti-theft system for your iOS device.
