Things are getting competitive in the iPhone Hacking world and as you would expect with competition, things seems to getting a lot easier with every new method that is being released which is excellent news for iPhone users.

Folks at iJailbreak.com have just released a graphical UI for jailbreak method for iPhone firmware 1.1.3 from the iPhone hacking genius, Zibri which I had posted a few days back to make it a much easier method to Jailbreak iPhone firmware 1.1.3.

If you are new to the iPhone hacking world then jailbreaking provides read or write filesystem access on the iPhone, allowing installation of unofficial third-party iPhone applications.

Disclaimer: Before I go into the details it is important to mention that before you jailbreak your iPhone, be sure to backup in iTunes so you can restore your iPhone if something goes terribly wrong and since I have not tried this method I am not in a position to confirm either way so do remember that hacking your iPhone is completely at your own risk.

It is also important to note here that though users have got this to work there are some users who are still experiencing problems jailbreaking with this method.

Folks at iJailbreak have just released iJailBreak 0.5.3 a graphical UI for jailbreak method for iPhone firmware 1.1.3 from the iPhone hacking genius, Zibri. However, their method currently works only for Mac users and supports only iPhone and not iPod Touch (strange since it is apparently using Zibri’s jailbreak method though they are currently working on it).

They have also recently informed us that iJailbreak works only on Leopard. If you do not have a Mac running Leopard then check the method to Jailbreak iPhone firmware 1.1.3 released by Zibri for both Mac and Windows users.

If you have Mac running Leopard then all you need to do is download the iJailbreak software from this link, expand it and then launch it with your iPhone connected and follow on-screen instructions. iJailbreak also includes the unlock mechanism which apparently now works on all iPhones.

If you face problems with this method or do not satisfy the system criteria required for this method to work then do check the method to Jailbreak iPhone firmware 1.1.3 released by Zibri.

As always don’t forget to drop in a line in case you have given this jailbreak method a shot in the comments.

Thanks James C on the tip!

We already have iPhone Hacks readers CerealKiller and key giving thumbs up to the iJailbreak method along with James while Fernando reported that he was getting some Applescript error. Thanks guys for the feedback.
